Marlene Bonnesen is an Oslo-Copenhagen based dancer and performer. She holds a BA in dance and choreography from The Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen (2015), and an MA in Dance from The National Academy of The Arts in Oslo (2023). She has toured and performed in works by Angéls Margarit (ES), fieldworks (BE/NO), BodyCartography (NZ/US/NO), Tina Tarpgaard (DK), Tali Rázga (DK), Ellen Jerstad (NO), UTVIK/BARFOD (NO), Max Wallmeier (DK/DE) and Naya Moll (DK). In 2025, she was Rehearsal Director for the Swedish dance company, Norrdans. She works in the cross section between somatic and release-oriented dance practices and is interested in how embodied knowledge can spill into her and other’s artistic work. Together with the Norwegian dancer, Emilie Karlsen, she makes her own work based on their common interest in craft and intuition as dance makers.
