Soft Space Vision - Research Sharing

SOFT SPACE VISION is a series of three works. In this new trilogy I work with the body as an object for the gaze. It sets the premises that if the sight is blurred, other senses are activated in a higher degree in the bodies of the audience, and hereby also the production of other kinds of knowledge. I am interested in the potential I experience in the blurred vision, a gaze that is not able to focus sharply on the body - hence not able to objectify it.

Research has been made in collaboration with Olivia Riviere, Kenneth Bruun, Julia Giertz, Mårten K. Axelsson and Igor Dobricic

The performance lecture is a documentation of the performance research in Whole Body Treatment version 1 to 4 from 2009 to 2015. The essay/performance lecture investigates the notion of emotions and feelings as collective and spatial entities, rather that solely individual states by speaking about the reality of the intimate one-on-one performance situation to a larger audience group.

WE ARE DANCERS

Fanclub wish to present a piece of something connected to our work with WE ARE DANCERS - an ongoing, winding process around the notion of the dancer and her work in relation to social, political, economical and artistic structures. We let this movement of work manifest itself in a series of working modules and open laborative spaces, a chain of somethings unfolding during a two year long investigation. Paula Caspão and DD Dorvillier are invited as guesting artists and will be joining the work during the fall of 2017.

This particular something is made for Danseatelier’s Performing Feast #6, and is one of many possible results, fragments, of the ongoing investigation and work of WAD.

Fanclub is Andrea Deres, Carolina Bäckman, Ellesiv V. Selseng and Sofia Karlsson, a dancers’ collective based in Copenhagen. Together they initiate and act out different collaborations, exploring movement patterns and working structures within the dance arts.

Runddans, en dans

'Runddans, en dans' is a solo performance that explores the boarder between dream and reality. Ida Haugen uses a minimalist and dynamic language that happens through movement and selfmade poetry. She deals with thematics such as love, cosmos, and relations.

The title 'Runddans, en dans' is taken from the album 'Runddans' (Todd Rundgren, Emil Nikolaisen and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm) which has worked as an inspiration source for creating the movement material.

The performance is supported by Skien municipal's working scholarship for professional artists.
